In BALSU, we believe that quality is produced – not supervised. To assure the realization of this philosophy, which is deeply embedded in our corporate culture, we design our products with inherent quality and reliability, starting from the very beginning of a hazelnut’s lifecycle all the way up to its moment of delivery. Our state of the art processing facility, combines the latest technology with long-standing know-how to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients, while maintaining consistent production quality and top-notch processing standards.

BALSU supplies traceable natural, roasted, blanched and diced hazelnuts, as well as hazelnut paste and hazelnut meal, all of which are also available as organic, to a range of international clients around the globe. Total Quality Management principles are followed and random samples are analyzed by multiple testing procedures during every stage of production. All the production stages are subject to the strictest hygienic conditions and supervised from the first to the last stage with utmost care. Selectively procured goods are controlled within BALSU labs and only quality-assured hazelnuts are further processed for production. The BALSU factory is equipped with a cutting-edge laboratory where the latest techniques in food analysis for chemical, physical, toxic and microbiological quality control are performed.

BALSU’s efforts are confirmed and its products are sealed with various quality assurance certifications such as the BRCGS and IFS among others. Our Quality Assurance and Food Safety Management Program, which is monitored by our Quality Department, ensures that all regulations are adhered to and all processes are controlled to produce and consistently maintain the highest quality of processed goods, delivering results that go beyond certifications.
